The Championship Defense: Guarding Your Spiritual Strength 🛡️🏆
In sports, while offense is cute and sexy, defense is needed to win.
Within every championship team, there is someone capable of stopping the opponent's biggest threat.
God's Game Plan for Victory 🏀🙏🏿
As you strive to satisfy the desires God has placed in your heart to glorify and serve him, much like a winning team in sports, to win, you will have to defend against the attacking opposition.
The Power Play: "I Can Do All Things" 💪🏿
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" is perhaps the most mainstream, popular, encouraging, affirmative and comforting verse in the Bible.
While many are encouraged and comforted by this verse, they are not tapped deeply enough with their Bible to know the game plan required to defend the attacks to rob you of God's game winning, or should I say life winning strength too.
Locating Your Spiritual Strength 🎯
To defend the strength, we must know where it's located. Ephesians 3:16-19 tells us that this supernatural strength is deep within us. It goes on to say that this love is poured into us until we are filled up so much that we overflow with the fullness of God.
Be a Defensive Stopper ✋🏿
To protect and ensure we move through life with God's strength, we must be a defensive stopper. Check out Proverbs 4:23 TPT:
"So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life."
Your Defensive Drills (Deep Questions) 🏋🏿♂️
What is the biggest internal threat - what needs to be changed or transformed within you to ensure you live a life that protects the source of your strength within you? As you answer, don't get discouraged if you feel inadequate to make such changes. Remember Romans 12:2:
"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."
What and who are the biggest external threats that you must guard your heart against, and what is the game plan to stop the attack?

"And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.
