When Comfort Zones Become Danger Zones
Sometimes in life what feels good to you, ain't good for you. π―
The Painful Path to Growth π±
Conversely, what feels the worse momentarily is what's needed the most.
Season of Removal π
There will seasons in life, where, if we allow God to lead us, He will remove the relationships that may feel good, but are holding us back by serving as a detour from our destiny by infuincing us away from the road God has created for us to travel.
Courage in the Face of Change πͺ
As you courageously allow God to remove, do so knowing the same God that loves you enough to remove, also loves you enough to comfort you through temporary yet necessary pain and heartbreaking hurt of an ended relationship.
Building Your Divine Dream Team π
As you digest this and consider the type of people God wants in you inner circle, peep Paul's words in this verse:
"Now I plead with you that when I come, don't force me to take a hard line with you (which I'm willing to do) by daring to confront those who mistakenly believe that we are living by the standards of the world, not by the Spirit's wisdom and power." - 2 Corinthians 10:2 TPT
Draw a hardline that says, anyone that chooses to live by the standards of the world, and by the Holy Spirit's wisdom and power is one capable of leading you astray. Since that is the case, as painful as it maybe to have a more distant relationship, it must be done.
Stay True to Your Path π£οΈ
"Before you were led astray, you were so faithful. Who has deceived you so that you have turned from what is right?" Galatians 5:7 TPT
"Then Jesus said, "I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness."" John 8:12 TPT
God's Got You π€²
"All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 TPTA Challenge for the Heart π―
As you step off the court and into your personal life, ask yourself:
Which relationships in your life are like comfortable sneakers that feel good, but might be holding you back from reaching your full potential? Are you willing to lace up new shoes that pinch at first but will ultimately take you further in your journey with God?
Take a timeout. Pray on it. Now take a moment and:
List all of your influential relationships (businesses or athletically, friendships/family and romantically).
With every person listed, identify and mark which ones choose to live by the standards of the world, and which ones live higher and live by the Holy Spirit.
Have the courage to lean in to your Spirit-led relationships, and create the proper distance from those that are world-led.
Make your next move count. ππ
